Our Reveal at RedChurch
On September 12th we invited our partners, community and friends to celebrate launching our robust and innovative artisan online marketplace.
RedChurch Cafe were gracious hosts, catering the event - providing a feast of charcuterie that was decadently prepared by their team.
After a busy summer of building the store and finding partners, our team was more than excited to share what was waiting behind the locked password page that was the ShopHamont site on September 12th. Early in the morning, the team locked the existing blog behind an online password page to unveil the marketplace site, LIVE at the event.
Co-Founders, Nicole Alexander and Sarah Killins spoke about the vision, mission, values and goals of the new site sharing their plan to shift consumer spending to locally made, ethical goods.
As a commitment to the Hamilton community, ShopHamont announced a partnership with Shop Local Perks, a savings platform offering local shoppers incentives to shop at over 75 local businesses. Customers on ShopHamont that use their Shop Local Perks cards will receive 10% off orders shipped within Hamilton. This commitment is meant to make shopping locally and sustainably more accessible for Hamiltonians.
Along with exciting community partnerships, the ShopHamont team is starting a Podcast! Hooked On The Hustle will be our founders talking with modern-day hustlers. Each episode will feature an entrepreneur, artist, innovator, artisan or creator ready to talk about why their obsessed with what they do.
Currently, our online marketplace features 16 local makers (and counting) but ShopHamont will also bring you the latest of what is Happening in Hamilton. We’re from Hamilton and we’re not going to stop talking about it. We’re still the plug for where to go, what to do and who to buy from in Hamilton so be sure to subscribe to blogs, Hip Places & Hip Things.
Big things are happening here, but we wouldn’t be where we are today without our partners, our community and Red Church Cafe who generously supported the event.
Thank you to everyone who attended, it was a fabulous night.
