Getting back into my morning smoothie routines! I love trying out different supplements and seeing if I notice any notable changes in my skin, hair or overall health.
Recently I was gifted Rootalive Organic Ashwagandha powder! Ashwagandha is a root that has been used for many years, although I couldn’t find enough significant research on its benefits there are loads of listed possible benefits including that it is an “adaptogen” to help the body cope with daily stress. As well as hypothyroidism, sex drive, and inflammation. So let’s see how it goes!
Overall taste of the Ashwagandha powder is definitely not pleasant, it got a grassy smell and taste. So when taking supplements like this that don't have a great flavour I like to hide them in very tasty smoothies! Check out one of my favs below!
Nicole’s Go to Smoothie Recipe
This is a great morning smoothie, packed with green goodness and perfect for hiding your favourite supplements that may not taste so yummy alone!
-Kale (about 1/2 a cup)
-Mango (about a ¼ cup)
-Pineapple (about ¼ cup)
-Avocado (about ¼ cup)
-1 (½ cup of Coconut milk)
-1 (½ cup of orange juice)
-2 scoops of lactose-free yogurt or frozen yogurt
-collagen, B12, and then some Ashwagandha powder (supplements)
Optional: chia seeds
Blend and vola!
